Overview
Torq Marine Diesel is seeking an experienced Level 3 Marine Technician with advanced expertise in diesel engines, electrical systems, and marine hydraulics. This role is for a proven professional who can confidently troubleshoot, repair, and service vessels both in the field and at our facility.
Responsibilities
- Travel to marinas, docks, and shipyards to perform on-site diagnostics and repairs.
- Test and evaluate the performance of inboard diesel, outboard, and auxiliary systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, and component replacements.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and steering systems with precision.
- Ensure all work meets ABYC and OEM standards.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
- Uphold the highest safety standards when working both on land and at sea.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in the marine repair industry.
- ABYC, OEM, or Master Certification in marine systems (or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel propulsion and electrical systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex marine engine issues.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and related components.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and lifting heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform in both shop and field environments.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (advanced technical training preferred).
